Tidwell most recently served as hospital president at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. Prior to that, he held key operational leadership roles at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights and TIRR Memorial Hermann, where he led hospital operations in Houston, consistently driving performance and patient-centered care.

With more than 15 years of healthcare leadership experience, Tidwell also serves on the board of the Texas Health Services Authority, appointed by Gov. Greg Abbott to support the secure exchange of health information across the state. He has also held board positions with the Quality Texas Foundation and the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce.
A native of El Paso, Tidwell holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston – Clear Lake, as well as a Bachelor of Science in biomedical science from Texas A&M University.
Tidwell and his family — his wife and two children — have relocated to North Texas.
